"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're getting fidgety for. Untitled (Matched #3) Expected publication: November 13, 2012
You would think Ally Condie would throw her readers a bone other than the fact that the cover is gonna be red!
The hotly awaited second book in the dystopian Matched trilogy
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky - taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart - change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever. First let's talk about the elephant in the post, yes we do see Ky's point of view and no it is not a disaster of a view like Beautiful Creatures. In Creatures the male point of view (the whole book) could've been replaced with a female and nothing would've changed. Yes, it's bad. Anyways we're talking about Crossed. It takes place in the Outer Provinces-the Carving to be more specific. There is a lot more adventure and unraveling of emotions. We get two more characters that I hope to see in the third one and I need to know EXACTLY what Xander's secret is. So good, these keep getting better and better and I hope that the next cover is red because that's the color of the placeholder! Just another little thing... did you know that Disney bought the rights to the movie? Its true.
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. Every week you are to share the books you received that week. It could either be ones you bought, or gotten at the library, and ones that you'd receive to review on the blog.I am calling it 'In My Bookbag' because I am always taking books out of the library!
It's Christmas and I got just a few things!
