Waiting on Wednesday (15)...
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're getting fidgety for.
Lady Midnight (Dark Artifices #1) Expected publication: 2015
Los Angeles, 2012. It’s been five years since the events of the Mortal Instruments when Nephilim stood poised on the brink of oblivion and Shadowhunter Emma Carstairs lost her parents. After the blood and violence she witnessed as a child, Emma has dedicated her life to the eradication of demons and being the best, fastest and deadliest Shadowhunter since Jace Lightwood. Raised in the Los Angeles Institute, Emma is paired as a parabatai with her best friend, Julian. As Emma hunts those who caused the death of her parents, the trail they’re following leads back to those they’ve always been taught to trust. At the same time, Emma is falling in love with Julian — her closest friend and, because he is her parabatai, the one person in the world she’s absolutely forbidden by Shadowhunter Law to love. Set against the glittering backdrop of present-day Los Angeles, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches from the warlock-run nightclubs of the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica.

Hallowed (Unearthly #2)...
For months part-angel
Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions
and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the
blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would
be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her
purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as
straightforward as she thought.
Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
I felt like this one just began to drag on. Don't get me wrong I will continue to read the series and hope that everything works out with her and Tucker - but I'm kinda liking the idea of her and Christian together too. This one was really good at getting you into the situation and you could feel all of the confusion that Clara has because of her vision (and that doesn't turn out the way you'd expect) and the two stupid boys that are so adorable! Now that I think of it although it dragged on it was SOOO good (give me a break you guys its been almost 3 months since I read it)!!! So I can't wait for Boundless (Unearthly #3 - W.O.W and cover to come)!!!!

Waiting on Wednesday (11, 12, 13, 14)...
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're getting fidgety for.
For the past month (again sorry) I've been craving (because I'm finally catching up and this also includes tomorrows post because I won't be home tomorrow because I have a performance)...
No magic the Clave can summon can locate either boy, but Jace cannot stay away—not from Clary. When they meet again Clary discovers the horror Lilith’s dying magic has wrought—Jace is no longer the boy she loved. He and Sebastian are now bound to each other, and Jace has become what he most feared: a true servant of Valentine’s evil. The Clave is determined to destroy Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other. Will the Shadowhunters hesitate to kill one of their own?
Only a small band of Clary and Jace’s friends and family believe that Jace can still be saved — and that the fate of the Shadowhunters’ future may hinge on that salvation. They must defy the Clave and strike out on their own. Alec, Magnus, Simon and Isabelle must work together to save Jace: bargaining with the sinister Faerie Queen, contemplating deals with demons, and turning at last to the Iron Sisters, the reclusive and merciless weapons makers for the Shadowhunters, who tell them that no weapon on this earth can sever the bond between Sebastian and Jace. Their only chance of cutting Jace free is to challenge Heaven and Hell — a risk that could claim any, or all, of their lives.
And they must do it without Clary. For Clary has gone into the heart of darkness, to play a dangerous game utterly alone. The price of losing the game is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. She’s willing to do anything for Jace, but can she even still trust him? Or is he truly lost? What price is too high to pay, even for love?
Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Instruments series.

Anne, having survived Baba Yaga's forest twice, finds herself bound by the witch to undertake a journey into past, present, and future that will determine her destiny - and that of everyone she loves.
The demon Lilith has been destroyed and Jace has been freed from her captivity. But when the Shadowhunters arrive to rescue him, they find only blood and broken glass. Not only is the boy Clary loves missing–but so is the boy she hates, Sebastian, the son of her father Valentine: a son determined to succeed where their father failed, and bring the Shadowhunters to their knees.

Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2)...
Catching up...
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.
Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperately searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.
So this one is just as good as the first one, maybe better. The only thing that I HATED was (spoiler) that Patch wasn't in it as much! UGGH!!!! But other than that it was good. Fitzpatrick threw in a new character that I think will play a HUGE role in the next books. I was reading this and my choir class was at festival... we're supposed to be quiet in the audience. Well I was reading it in the audience and I was at the climax of the story... I was biting my sleeve because I had to stay quiet. I recommend this book!

Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush #1)...
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
I don't know how many people told me not to read this... and as usual I ignored them! Well, most of the time I find that I'm glad that I did. This time was no different. I fell in love with Patch and I even like Nora (which is strange because I'm really picky when it comes to the female characters)! Patch is strange a very elusive so you're always guessing when it comes to him. His past is all kinds of messed and his intent is always questionable so, of course I fell for him just as hard as Nora.

Unearthly (Unearthly #1)...
In the beginning, there’s a boy standing in the trees . . .Clara Gardner has recently learned that she’s part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn’t easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there’s another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara’s less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she’d have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.
Let's get this our of the way... BEAUTIFUL COVER!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so now that we've taken care of the elephant on the blog let's move on. I read this book in about two days and it's the first book in a while that's kept me up until two in the morning. This book is SO good. I have yet to hear one bad review about it or hear someone say that 'it was alright'. Do you wanna know why? Because this book is WONDERFUL!!!!!

Divergent (Divergent #1)...
In a future Chicago, 16-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomaly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.I know that Hayden's (here's the link to his blog) gonna give me grief when he sees this... but I did warn him! I'm still in this weird place in my brain right now when it comes to fishing a dystopian book. I finished Crossed and can't wait for the next one but other than those I can't finish them. So I'm reading Unearthly and Hush Hush right now and then we'll see if that cures me (fingers crossed!!!!!)!

Each of the bloggers participating in the hunt have been given a letter. Hop around to the blogs participating to hunt for the letters. (And remember that two of the letters are used twice, so the title is eight letters long.) Be quick with unscrambling the title because this voucher is only valid for a week (so it'll end on March 3)!
Once you've unscrambled the title, go to Michelle Madow's blog and use the title name to enter the giveaway for a voucher for an advanced e-copy of the final Transcend Time novel! (She is giving away a voucher because the novel is planned to be released at the end of the year, and she hasn't finished writing it yet! This voucher will ensure that you will receive an advance e-copy once they are available).
The letter for this blog is: E
Well seeing as though I'm only on page, erm, ten of Remembrance (Michelle was so nice to send me a PDF of it) I can't really tell you what I hope happens but judging from the description on Goodreads I guess we can hope that Chelsea and Lizzie don't end up killing each other (I know a little over dramatic) and that every one gets their true love. When I'm done reading this then I'll actually write something that is believable. :)
Michelle would also like you to know that the e-version of Remembrance is on sale for $0.99 until her USA tour ends in April. So go grab it while you can!
Below is a list of all the blogs participating in the 'Hunt' so check them out for letter to!

Jessica Rules the Dark Side (Jessica #2)
It’s one thing to find out you’re a vampire princess. It’s a whole other thing to actually rule. Newly married Jessica Packwood is having a hard enough time feeling regal with her husband, Lucius, at her side. But when evidence in the murder of a powerful elder points to Lucius, sending him into solitary confinement, Jessica is suddenly on her own. Determined to clear her husband’s name, Jessica launches into a full-scale investigation, but hallucinations and nightmares of betrayal keep getting in her way. Jessica knows that with no blood to drink, Lucius’s time is running out. Can she figure out who the real killer is—and whom she can trust—before it’s too late?I loved Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, in fact it was the first book where I almost stayed awake for a full twenty-four hours. This one doesn't disappoint. It's been a while since I read the wedding for them so a few things didn't make sense but she did a really good job of somewhat explaining what happened for those that haven't read it. I have loved Jessica's and Lucius's relationship from the first page of the first book and this made me love it even more! The love that they have for each other is really evident in this book as it switches view points. I also love seeing things from Mindy and Raniero's points of view. This is an amazing book and fans of Jess and Lucius will not be disappointed!
